Mardi Gras 2009 will be here before ya know it, and Pop's Nightclub has a present for us.

St. Louis is home to the second largest Mardi Gras celebration in the whole nation, but if you don't come across enough beads during the Soulard parade, check out Pop's Nightclub in Sauget, IL this Saturday, February 21, and celebrate through the night at the Girls Gone Wild Mardi Gras party. It starts at 8pm, and there will be a prize of $1000 for the "wildest girl".  Must be 21 to get in!

Git-R-Done!  See Larry the Cable Guy live this January 17, 2009 at The Fabulous Fox Theatre.

There will be two shows on this date, at 5pm and 8pm, and ticket prices range from $85 to $230.  Buy yours now at Stubhub.

Home Nightclub in St. Charles has built a reputation for being a celebrity hot spot, and this New Year's Eve 09, you shall not be disappointed - that is, assuming you are looking to party the night (and year) away with a beautiful Playboy Playmate?

Home is celebrating their one year anniversary this week, and Playmate Sara Underwood will be joining the party Dec. 31. She is the 2007 Playboy Playmate of the Year.  Some have asked if the Playmate is related to singer Carrier Underwood - Apparently not...

$50 (plus a $6.50 booking fee for advanced ticket purchase)  includes admission and 2 cocktails.  Buy yours now at http://homestltickets.com.

Want to catch a glimpse, or possibly even party with some of St. Louis' finest?  The Celebrity Holiday Party (3rd annual) will be held this Christmas at Sky Box Sports Bar and Grill downtown on Laclede's Landing, and will be hosted by Nelly and Orlando Pace - some of Nelly's celebrity guests, as well as Orlando's teammates may even show up!

New Year's Eve is one of the (if not THE) year's most notable party nights, and NYE 2009 will be no exception.  So where will you be?  We have compiled a list of some of the events we have come across over the past few weeks, to help you decide where you might want to be seen.  For those of you that dare to venture out, please be safe!  Be sure to call a taxi if necessary...

Click on the event titles for more info. Please keep in mind some of these may require a pre-purchased ticket, while others will allow you to purchase at the door - most offer a discounted price with advanced ticket purchase.  Events are in no particular order:

The date is January 8, 2008, and it should be a big show!  Lil Wayne is coming to the Chafeitz Arena at Saint Louis University, along with Keyshia Cole, T-Pain, Gym Class Heroes, and Keri Hilson.

The toughest thing about joining a gym and trying to get in shape would almost undoubtedly have to be staying motivated.  Most of us have been there... You decide you miss that great body you once had, and remember when you could at least walk up a flight of stairs without gasping for air - so you finally get pumped enough to go sign up one day.  Three weeks later (maybe a month later for you die-hards),  the initial adrenaline and motivation is gone (i mean hey, you DID lose 1.0002375 pounds right?), and you realize that walking on a treadmill is just a bit boring -  Duh!  So what went wrong?  Ummm - It's not fun!

Only comes around once a year, and it's almost here!  The Budweiser Gun's N Hoses event will be held at Scottrade Center on Wednesday November 26, 2008.

Unless you have been living in a box for nearly the past 24 hours, you probably know that we have a new U.S. president, Mr. Barack Obama.  I couldn't be happier that it is finally done! or is it???  In the recent weeks, it has been pretty much impossible to turn on a television (or visit a website), without having the election shoved down your throat - heck, I even stopped answering my phone, since EVERY call that I received for the last three weeks was an automated recording explaining why I should vote for "Bob".  What good is that "no call" list anyways?  Guess politicians are exempt...  So does this mean, it's all over?  Can we finally get back to normalism?  Well, sadly no.  As you know, that will probably take awhile.

STOMP! Coming to a Fox Theatre near you (assuming you are in Saint Louis) April 3 - 5, 2009.

At the time, tickets are listed with a range from $26 - $65 (subject to change, and not yet available for purchase).  Stay tuned...

Well, the presidential election is gonna be here before we know it, and there is not much that can be done to stop it!  While I must admit, I have not put a whole lot of time or effort into really understanding what either Barack Obama or John McCain really "stand for" (though I do get the basics), it certainly doesn't take much to form an opinion, albeit slightly uneducated at this point.  Personally, I think it really sucks that we basically get to choose one of two people (or a couple of other unknowns) to "run the country", that is, assuming our vote does even really matter.  At this point I don't have a good enough feeling about either candidate to run out and put my name on a ballot, but with that said, there is something that just "urks" me about John McCain.
