hunting down a little personal attention?

Crissa

On the hunt for a pleasant shopping experience? With 3 locations in the St. Louis area, the Alpine shop carries all your gear needed for out door recreational activities. Are you a fisherman? A hunter? A snowboarder? A mountain climber? Do you enjoy float trips? Camping? If you answered yes to any of these, this store is worth taking a trip to.

I can say that I have never experienced such great customer service in all of my shopping career. The employees and staff are genuinely happy, pleasant and are eager to help you (not just to make a sale to get some lousy commission). I had many questions for them as I was looking into gear for my significant other who enjoys fishing in Canada. To be completely honest I fish very little, have only gone hunting once and perhaps camp once every year if I'm lucky. When I left the store I felt enlightened, I felt respected, and best of all, had I actually brought my purse in, I probably would have walked away with a few purchases.

I recommend going to the Kirkwood location as this was my most recent experience, although the one on Clarkson is just as nice too. On top of the great service, the store was nicely kept, they had a wide variety and the prices were not ridiculous. If you go to Dick's Sporting goods you will find a wider price range but a lot of items consisting of lesser quality than that of the Alpine Shop. Remember, you get what you pay for. If you want comfort and protection from skin-chapping winds, you probably ought to shell out a few more bucks. Another great thing about the Alpine Shop in general is their new payment plan option. You can literally walk out of their store only paying a fraction of the cost down, just leave 3 more post dated checks with them and pay over the course of 4 months. (Similar to that of K-Marts new pay as you go lay away).

Even if you aren't into extreme out door activities, you may find something you like such as a chemical free plastic water bottle, a carabineer key chain, or some boots - after all, it is almost winter!
