Calling all classical rock fanatics and Christmas music junkies! Chances are, if that got your attention, you already know about the steamroller coming in this Holiday Season, as they always include St. Louis in their extravagant winter tour. The Trans-Siberian Orchestra is claiming to be doing it even better this year than previous years, so this will be a spectacle you will not want to miss, especially with the addition of their brand new songs. As if their contribution to the indie music world wasn't enough, local band Messy Jiverson is taking part in a charitable event and wants YOU to take part. The Oddity Faire: A Mutated Mini Fest was just as much as it was anticipated to be:  weird, amusing, interesting and of course - a unique experience.  For those who did not attend the tour stop at our own Pageant right here in St. Louis on March 17, 2009, you missed a crazy night.

Currently Les Claypool is touring for the remainder of this month (majority of this tour was through out this month) and along with him are a variety of other opening bands/groups that also deserve the title of "oddity." In St. Louis, these oddities were:  Secret Chiefs 3, Saul Williams, and Devotchka - 2 of which are good friends of Les Claypool.

"Everyone Knows I'm in Over My Head"...planning three and a half months in advance, for a concert  that is. If you haven't caught the reference yet,  The Fray, will be at St. Louis'  very own Verizon Wireless Ampitheater in Maryland Heights this summer, bringing all of their hit songs and some other numbers from their top selling albums.  I'm not sure about knowing "how to save a life" but I can at least give you a heads up - radio presale tickets go on sale March 20^th,   general public sales start March 21 at 10:30 a.m. and lawn seats (best seats in the house for dates  and groups of friends anyway!) are running at $14.00. Coming soon to the Pageant near you...LES CLAYPOOL! The former Primus band member,  Leslie Edward Claypool will be gracing us St. Louisians with his electrifying sounds and die hard fans.  Be prepared to be blown  away with his strumming, finger-tapping, string slapping technique.

Three and a half hours of gut-pounding rock for the price of.... cheap; that's what you'll get at the Family Arena in St. Charles this February 17th.  Tagging along with the Buckcherry and Avenged Sevenfold tour this time around will be Papa Roach and Saving Abel.

George Acosta, America's number 1 DJ as rated by DJ Times magazine in 2007, will be returning to Dante's this January 31; almost exactly one year since his last show at this particular venue.  George is most famous for his Trance DJing and production, and is a resident of Miami, FL.

Doors open at 9pm, with opening sets by Yanix (Chicago) and Emilio Hernandez (STL), and DJ Fish will be spinning in the Art Bar.  Must be 21+ to enter, and the party goes until 3am.  Tickets are available at GrooveTickets.com for $15.

The Trip Daddies, one of the rockinist live acts St Louis has to offer.

I have only lived in the city for a couple of months and in my tenure here I have been lucky enough to see many live acts, some amazing ones and some not so much but one of my favorite offerings this city has is the Trip Daddies. Born and raised St Louis Rockabilly this band has a powerful stage presence, a slick style and the knowledge and experience to know how to rock a crowd.

Amy Grant and Vince Gill want to help spread the holiday cheer this Christmas season, and they are arriving just in time, December 19th at the Scottrade Center.

The fans at Off Broadway were treated to quite a show this last Monday  when Randall Shreve came to town and was joined by our very own Alley Cats to create an experience that was reminiscent  of older time cabaret and vaudeville shows.
