Looking for something to do on the upcoming 3 day weekend? Want some fun in the sun while listening to music and satisfying your hunger cravings all in one? If you answered yes to both questions you need to be downtown this weekend at the Soldier’s Memorial  (on Chestnut Street) for all of your entertainment pleasures.  There will be a variety of ribs and other tasty foods,  local and some out of town vendors, and of course music.

If you get to Soldier’s Memorial prior to 5pm on Friday, you will get in FREE, after 5pm admission is $5. On Saturday, Sunday and Monday you must arrive prior to 1pm to enter FREE, after  1pm admission is $5. These prices include the concerts. Children ages 12 and under are of course FREE. If you want to reserve any of the limited seating in front of the stages you must pay $25 on Friday, Sunday and Monday and if you wish to reserve seating Saturday, the price is $40. It seems pricey to charge $40, however, they will give you $10 in tickets for food & beverages and if booked in advance will cover your $5 admission charge.

While bands and play times are subject to change, the BBQ ribs are not. So come hungry for music and food and leave with some cash still in your wallet.
